If you received an email offering a position as a “Business Correspondence Corrector” for a company called Сarrefour..beware, it’s not a legitimate job offer! While Carrefour is a legitimate retail based company located throughout Europe they do not do business in the United States or North America! Below is a screenshot of the carrefour.pl website that has been online for about 12 years.
Carrefour Polska is an omnichannel retail network under the name of which there are almost 900 stores in Poland in 5 formats: hypermarkets, supermarkets, residential and specialist stores and an online store. In addition, Carrefour is the manager of 45 shopping centers and arcades as well as 43 petrol stations.

Our readers wondered how by merely requesting a company name and location meant they actually applied for the job and got hired!! Exactly what “DATA” did they receive?? I guess as long as you have a name and email address, BOOM you are automatically hired on the spot!
Sorry but this is not a legitimate job offer. These people are scammers who has stolen the credentials of the real company in order to lure unsuspecting job-seekers into accepting their fake job and then steal their money!

I received this same “proposal” from Porsche Mccranie from 2 email addresses: zhillibilliz@freenet.de. One obvious red flag would be that she used the wrong font/format for her own name, by not capitalizing the second “c” – assuming the surname Mccranie has the same style or format as other surnames starting with “Mc”.
Yeap, they got me editing their for a week. Same deal discontinued. Offered me this paypal representative position. I declined cause they hadn’t paid for the editing work.

I did the text editor position then they asked me to receive money into my paypal account for a purchase in the USA. I received the funds and then a month later the transaction was disputed and now my paypal account is negative 7300. I have tried to reach the company by email no response. I have tried to reach out to eBay but since I’m not listed as a buyer or seller they can’t help me. I tried to explain to them I received the money for the purchase and forwarded it to Carrefour. They won’t give me any info. A definite scan. Do not allow them to use your paypal account.

I guess some people really want to believe that some of these “jobs” really are legit no matter how many times the red flags are pointed out to them to watch out for. I always try to remind people to remember the saying.. if it sounds too good to be true..it usually always is!
I actually was stupid and did the editing for 1 week and should have received $180 for my work. Then I got suspicious because they “discontinued the document editor position’” and wanted me to do the representative position. Which basically was money laundering. I told them I wasn’t interested and never heard from them again plus what a surprise, no payment
