First of all, the company overview part of the document was taken word for word from the legitimate Plandent.com website. I’ve highlighted in red all the telltale signs of a money mule scam.
On the Plandent website there are 13 countries with their own Plandent company website links listed. The website for their headquarters in Finland states this on their careers page:
Who we are looking for?
We are looking for both industry veterans with years of experience as a career starting out kykyjäkin. We highlight a skill to see things from the customer’s point of view. We value our employees as well as self-grip on the work of enthusiasm and know-how to solve their own initiative challenges related to their work. In particular, we recruit:
• Dental Professionals
• Sales and customer relationship management experts
• Warehouse and logistics proficient
• Technology experts from the maintenance and support of IT
Keep in mind they do NOT mention they recruit for any “Finance Collection Assistants”! A Plandent company located in the UK called PLANMECA also has a US distributor in Illinois and on their US website at planmeca.com/na/Contact-us1/Careers/, they do not have ANY vacancies to fill! Yet they are recruiting US workers?? I don’t think so!
A large global company like Plandent never recruits employees in this manner. And why would they even consider offering a position of handling customer payments and cash transactions paying a salary of $66,300 with FULL benefits to jobseekers that has NO experience or background in accounting or collections? ESPECIALLY handling payments working at home using their own personal bank! Trust me, they DON’T! As stated above they only hire EXPERIENCED Professionals to work AT their facilities!
These scammers are claiming they will pay employees $5100 a month PLUS bonuses for a maximum of 20 hrs a week work! See attached FAQ and employment agreement they send and ask potential victims to sign WITHOUT
any application being submitted OR an interview! They are willing to immediately hire someone to handle financial transactions without knowing ANYTHING about them!

Email Recruiting Scams
The method of contacting jobseekers using the email copies above are almost identical to previous job scams in the past year we warned our readers about all claiming to be from large medical and/or dental equipment companies such as Halyard Health, Grant Instruments, Alpha Laboratories, LABFAC and Midmark Ltd.
Scammers steal the credentials and logos of legitimate Global corporations to lure jobseekers into a fake “job” that will ALWAYS involve handling monetary and various “Financial” transactions from their home! The scammers always immediately “hire” people through email, and possibly a brief phone interview or google hangout without any drug screening, checking references or even a real background check to work from home handling financial transactions!
Legitimate corporations already have fully staffed experienced accounting/billing departments at their company locations and all transactions go through “corporate” bank accounts. They would never dream of asking an employee to use their own bank to cash checks or deposit a customer’s money into! Nor would they ever ask an employee to purchase Visa gift cards with customer money and give them the card numbers!
It’s a money mule scam with only one objective and that’s to steal YOUR money and YOUR Identity!
What To Do If You Are A Victim
If you have fell victim to an employment scam like this, you need to contact your bank immediately and close your account IF you have provided your account information to the scammers. Next file a police report with your local authorities and then file a complaint with the FBI’s internet crime center at http://www.ic3.gov/
If you provided your personal information like your social security# birthdate etc , you need to contact the 3 credit bureaus- TransUnion, Equifax and Experian, and place a fraud alert on your report. These criminals can steal your identity and may try and obtain credit in your name. Doing this will alert you for at least 90 days about any suspicious activity.
In the hands of a thief, just your name, address, Social Security number or date of birth, can be used over and over months- even years down the road to:
Open new lines of credit
Seek medical attention
Drain savings and retirement accounts
Provide an alias when arrested
Get a job or file false tax returns
Get Payday Loans in your name
Obtain service agreements for cellular service or utilities
Obtain Government Documents such as a drivers license or passport
And MORE!
That’s why I highly recommend you get some sort of ongoing identity theft protection such as the services offered through companies like LifeLock-Visit Their Website Here or Identity Force-visit their website here! LifeLock and Identity Force are both reputable companies that monitors your accounts and alerts and protects you from identity theft.

Disclosure** We get paid a commission when you purchase from LifeLock using one of our links.
I have been contacted by this same scam. I am grateful you have this out here because I almost went through with it. After my “employment” began I received 2 checks in the mail $1100; $900. I also received two emails explaining what the checks were for and that clients had already paid for the products. All I needed to do was cash the checks, take out my expenses, and load the remaining amount on a ReloadIt card. I can send you the exact emails and word docs that I received if you need them. Thankfully I did not provide them with my birthday or social but they do have my address.
Thank you Tiffany for this info. If you can post those emails that would be great! It will help prevent victims that these criminals target and take advantage of.
