RAYS Company Billing-Accounting Administrator Job Scam
Watch out job seekers. There’s another fake job offer email making its rounds claiming to be from a recruiter representing a business called RAYS Company, a high-end wheel manufacturer for both motorsport and street use located in Osaka, Japan.
Rays Company LTD is a legitimate business best known for it’s Volk Racing flagship brand of wheels, however, this job offer for a Billing/Accounting Administrator coming from someone claiming to be a company representative named Zachary Patel using the email address ZacharyPatel@orthodontist.net, is NOT legitimate.
Work At Home Salary Of $85,800.00 Per Year?
One of the main tactics these scams always use to bait and lure their victims into their scam is offering a “too good to be true” salary with full benefits, 401K and paid vacation time after 60 days with NO experience and only a High school education or GED to work at home on your computer!

- Review new orders for existing customer accounts

The only job these scammers want you to do is
- Accept customer payments
- Prepare payments for bank deposit
This means accepting bogus checks from fake “customers” and deposit these checks in your bank account. But what they don’t explain upfront is you will be expected to withdraw the cash and either wire the cash to the scammer, or purchase gift cards or prepaid visa cards and give the scammer the card information, BEFORE the bank discovers the check is fake!
This is CLEARLY a money mule/check scam designed to steal YOUR money because YOU will be held responsible to cover the amount of the bogus checks and possibly face criminal charges! This job offer is in NO way associated with the legitimate RAYS Company! Their credentials has been stolen by scammers to commit frauDon’t fall for it!
Always use common sense when you receive ANY job offer you did not initiate! Ask questions and do your research, and if seems suspicious or sounds too good to be true, trust your instincts and simply delete the email!
What To Do If You Are A Victim
If you have fell victim to an employment scam like this, you need to contact your bank immediately and close your account IF you have provided your account information to the scammers. Next file a police report with your local authorities and then file a complaint with the FBI’s internet crime center at http://www.ic3.gov/
If you provided your personal information like your social security # birthdate etc , you need to contact the 3 credit bureaus- TransUnion, Equifax and Experian, and place a fraud alert on your report. These criminals can steal your identity, sell your personal details on the dark web who may try and obtain credit in your name. Doing this will alert you for at least 90 days about any suspicious activity.
In the hands of a thief, just your name, address, Social Security number or date of birth, can be used over and over months- even years down the road to:
Open new lines of credit
Seek medical attention
Drain savings and retirement accounts
Provide an alias when arrested
Get a job or file false tax returns
Get Payday Loans in your name
Obtain service agreements for cellular service or utilities
Obtain Government Documents such as a drivers license or passport
