Notice the %insert_employment_application% ? Hmm, she forgot to provide the link to the application nor did she provide a website address other than her email domain.
But anyway, here’s a screenshot of transworldshipping.biz in it’s current state:
Now here is where it get’s interesting. On 8/13/2015, someone by the name Robert Linn in Tampa Florida registered the domain transworldshippingllc.biz for one year. Below is a screenshot of that website:
That website is an exact replica of the website at transworldshippingllc.com that was registered 07/20/2015 for one year, was reported for fraud and shut down just a few short weeks ago. See the Scamwarners post HERE!
I wouldn’t be surprised if this same website will find it’s way to transworldshipping.biz in just a few days.
I can’t say for sure, but I do believe these scammers are trying to spoof a legitimate business called Transworld Shipping And Logistics LLC at www.transworld.com or perhaps a company located in Germany called Transworld Shipping at www.twship.de.
So don’t let these scammers fool you into thinking transworldshipping.biz is related to either one of those legitimate businesses.
REPORT MAIL FRAUD!
If you believe you’re a victim of a re-shipping/forwarding scam, file a complaint with Postal Inspectors online or call Postal Inspectors at 1-877-876-2455 (option 4, Mail Fraud).
Also report the scam at http://ic3.gov which is the official site working in conjunction with the FBI to help stop internet crime.
If you provided your Social Security number to the scammers, you need to contact the 3 credit bureaus- TransUnion, Equifax and Experian, and place a fraud alert on your report. They can steal your identity and may try and obtain credit in your name. This will alert you for at least 90 days about any suspicious activity.
In the hands of a thief, just your name, address, Social Security number and date of birth, can be used over and over months- even years down the road to:
Open new lines of credit
Seek medical attention
Drain savings and retirement accounts
Provide an alias when arrested
Get a job or file false tax returns
Get Payday Loans in your name
Obtain service agreements for cellular service or utilities
Obtain Government Documents such as a drivers license or passport
