Beware Of Productivity Group Jacksonville FL – Interproductgroup.com
Beware Job Seekers! Another suspicious web development website was just registered for one year only on 8/14/2016 located at interproductgroup.com! Below is a partial screenshot of the website:
The business address and phone number listed on the website is 5510 Phillip Hwy Jacksonville, FL 32207, +1 904 443-2682. First of all, it should read “Philips Hwy” since there is no “Phillip Hwy” in Jacksonville. Secondly, we believe they are trying to trick visitors into thinking they are associated with a web development business once located that same address called Productivity Central, which went out of business in 2008/2009 although a Google search shows directories such as YP, Yelp and Manta etc makes it appear as though this business is still open, under a similar phone number, (904) 443-2681! The Productivity Central LLC business was dissolved in 2008 and is still “Inactive” per the State Of Florida Division of Corporations.
We have every reason to believe, without a doubt, that scammers has taken advantage of how these online business directories has made this permanently closed company appear as a legitimate business and assumed its identity!
Why would they do this? In order to lure job seekers into a “too good to be true”- work at home “client manager” or “account manager” etc. positions that is actually a money transfer/wire transfer- money mule scam! This is exactly how scammers has tricked thousands of job seekers over the last several years, they steal their personal information AND then steal thousands of dollars from them by getting them to wire stolen money overseas to their “so-called Programmers” that the “employee” has to pay back once the fake check bounces or the deposit is reversed!
We have warned our readers about quite a few of these “Web Development” job scams we have uncovered over the last 2 years. You can read about the most recent scams at Is DesignAtticMedia.com Legitimate Or Is It A Scam? and System 32 Solutions Employment Scam Win32solinc.com
Unsolicited Recruiting Emails
The scammers may be sending unsolicited recruiting emails possibly coming from the email address: careers@interproductgroup.com to job seekers with a job offer who has resumes posted on job sites like CareerBuilder and could possibly be using the name of the owner without his knowledge or consent, Frederick Addo, who once owned and managed Productivity Central. The website Interproductgroup.com was registered to someone named Melanie Hart whose name they also may be using as well. Be aware and do not share any personal details with anyone that contacts you with a job offer that you did not knowingly apply for.
What To Do If You Are A Victim

Next file a police report with your local authorities and then file a complaint with the FBI’s internet crime center at http://www.ic3.gov/
If you provided your personal information like ss # birthdate etc , you need to contact the 3 credit bureaus- TransUnion, Equifax and Experian, and place a fraud alert on your report. These criminals can steal your identity and may try and obtain credit in your name. Doing this will alert you for at least 90 days about any suspicious activity.
